Step into Christmas Cards

Elton partnered with fan and talented illustrator, Reggie O’Connell, on a selection of Christmas cards for you to send to your friends and family this Christmas. Each one is hand drawn and inspired by Elton’s musical moments as well as some iconic festive fun!

Creating this batch of Elton-themed holidays cards was an incredible undertaking that began with a few puns and an abundance of ideas. I sought out inspiration from the original 1973 “Step Into Christmas” music video, Ian Beck’s iconic Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album cover art, as well as vintage holiday card illustrations. From initial thumbnail sketches, to rough drafts, to final illustrations— the whole process kept me buzzing with inspiration. Tapping into Elton’s unique, fabulous energy while staying true to my own cartoony style presented a fun challenge that ultimately came together in the end. It was truly a joy illustrating these cards and I hope that you will all consider this an official invitation to step into Christmas!
