The album won a Grammy Award in 1999 for Best Musical Show Album and the show received many accolades and nominations including a Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Orchestrations for Robert Elhai’s work and two Tony Award nominations, one for Best Orchestrations and one for Best Original Score.
