Elton solo at RBC Centre, September 7, 2012

“The Elton John Solo concert in Sarnia, Canada was amazing! With the crowd roaring, Elton came out in his beautiful baby blue Captain Fantastic jacket with matching blue glasses and shoes. Elton was in a good mood but also he is still mourning his friend and band member. Elton talked about the passing of Bob Birch and said very nice and heartfelt things about Bob and his life in the tribute insert that was added to the concert program. It was very touching and brought me to tears.

Elton said that he is dedicating the concert tonight to Bob. Elton sang Believe and I Need You To Turn To which is a change from his last solo concert set list. Elton's voice sounded beautiful and listening to him play solo on the piano was like breathing in life to the soul! The stage rush was exciting. It is wonderful that Elton lets his fans come to the stage and be close to him towards the end of the concert.

He sang Bennie and The Jets, Crocodile Rock and Circle of Life. After the last song of the night Elton came over to me and took my hand and kissed it and spoke a very sweet comment to me which melted my heart. Thank you Elton for another brilliant night that I will never forget and is stamped in my heart forever.”

"Elton put on a wonderful show  on 9/7 in Sarnia Ontario. I believe it was the first concert since Bob Birch's death, and I just wanted to say that Elton mentioned his deep sadness about his loss, and he performed like the master that he is. I know that I couldn't have done that...go to work after a devastating loss. He did...and I was in 8th row center and had the best time of my life. I'm so sorry Elton for your loss...it was a loss to all of your fans as well. Thank you for "shining the light" on me for that one evening, and I hope the performance helped  you feel better as well. You are the one!"
