Elton and the Band at Residenzplatz, Wurzburg, July 14, 2012
“I saw Elton 2011 in Mannheim and had a great night. I wasn´t so sure if I should go again or keep that gorgeous evening in my memory. But I decided to go and I was right to do so. It was a great setting before the old Unesco castle "residenz" in Würzburg. Elton played his greatest hits set and started with Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting this time - maybe because it was a Saturday night. On he went with Bennie And The Jets and Tiny Dancer.
He was in a good mood and played more than two hours of his greatest hits. We sang a little Happy Birthday for the bass player, and danced along to I’m Still Standing and all the other classics. It was a great concert with a great band and a friendly Elton. I wish he´d play some more of his later stuff and let go of Nikita. He only did Hey Ahab from his latest record. No songs from 1990s or the 2000s, nevertheless he´s still rocking like ever!”

“I have seen Elton one time before, and this time he was also fantastic. How old he's going to get, his voice never let him down. I'm 48 years old, and I was a fan when I was ten years old. He will always be my number one because he is simply the best. The songs, his voice, the band - it was a night I never will forget. Thank you Elton.
