On Sunday October 12, 2008, Advanta World Team Tennis (WTT) will bring its Smash Hits charity tennis exhibition to Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia, USA. The 16th annual event, originated and chaired by long-time friends Elton and Billie Jean King, will benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) and the Atlanta AIDS Partnership Fund.
Two of America's most exciting tennis stars will face off in a singles showdown when Atlanta's Donald Young battles Andy Roddick at the Smash Hits. Young is the latest addition to the lineup of the annual charity event, and other players participating are Martina Navratilova and Anna Kournikova.
Tickets are still available for this fun day and can be bought from the WTTweb site. The event begins at 1:00pm on Sunday October 12.
Since its establishment in 1993, Smash Hits has raised over $8.5 million for EJAF's grant-making initiatives supporting HIV/AIDS-related prevention, stigma and discrimination reduction, and direct care and service programs, as well as for a local AIDS charity in the city hosting the event.
