Success for Lunch Around The World
To coincide with Elton's recent visit to Australia, Jodie Crosswell, Bill Stavretis and others arranged "Lunch Around The World Melbourne" on May 3, followed by another informal LATW event ahead of Elton's concert in Sydney on May 12. Fans from New Zealand, Japan and from all over Australia met up and joined in the fun and fund raising. A total of 1070 Australia dollars ($1025) was raised at the two events and donated to the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Thank you very much to everyone who organised or attended these events.
Lunch Around the World, St Petersburg, Florida.
On April 13th the Craftsman House Gallery and Cafe in St Petersburg, Florida held their Second Annual Elton John-A-Thon. A festive crowd came out for a charity brunch to raise money for the Elton John AIDS Foundation. As you can see by the photo the crowd came decked out in an array of colorful outfits. Elton music played all day, while people shared their favorite Elton stories.
Craftsman House looks forward to their Third Annual LATW in 2009 - many thanks to Jeff and Stephanie Schorr for all their efforts.
