Success for Lunch Around The World
We are delighted to announce that Nancy Case is to host her SIXTH LATW event in October.
In 2001 Nancy, from Palm Beach County, USA, created and hosted the first ever Lunch Around The World (LATW) event. Her concept was simple and fun: get together with your friends and raise money for the Elton John AIDS Foundation. So began Lunch Around The World. Since 2001 many fans worldwide have joined in the fun and fundraising, and so far have collectively raised over $165,000 for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Nancy has just told us that, "after a one year hiatus we are back with "Sixth Annual Lunch Around The World Palm Beach County". This year's event will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at the Palm Beach Zoo. For more information please email shadechase@aol.com.
So if you are in the West Palm Beach area or able to travel there, do contact Nancy and maybe get involved. Her previous LATW events have been very well attended, highly successful and have raised a lot of money for the EJAF!
In Boston, Debbie Piemonte is looking forward to her "Third Annual Lunch Around the World Boston Style Fundraiser". This event will take place on September 13, 2008, 7pm at the Regent Theatre, Arlington, Massachusetts and will be a treat for all fans of Elton's music. Debbie says, "Come and see 'A Tribute to Elton' by tribute band 'Yellow Brick Road.' As well as a superb show featuring talented musicians paying homage to Sir Elton, there will also be a great raffle and auction, with all proceeds benefitting the EJAF."
Tickets are now onsale and cost $35 Preferred Seating first 5 rows, $30 Reserved Seating, $25 Balcony seating, Seniors and Groups of 10 or more.
